Swingin' Monkey

Honestly this was supposed to be just a quick relaxing drawing, to take a break from my English project that's eating up my time.. instead it took about 2 and a half hours and i'm still frustrated with it.  I thought i'd post it anyway though since it's good practice?  I need to try doing more lineless artwork.. that isn't completely terrible.

I can't wait to get photoshop back, oh how i wish it wasn't such a hassle to retrieve all my programs after switching computers.  SAI is a wonderful program but doesn't have the brushes i really need as well as a few other things.

The Angry Wolf

So this is what i do when i can't think of anything to draw.  Usually really angry wolves, the occasional silly looking cat, and maybe even a shark or two.  Honestly i can't draw people at the moment it's slightly frustrating, but i'll work myself out of it.  Anyway this took about.. 10 minutes since i couldn't get the paws right haha

Taking a Stroll

I drew this lady at school today and thought i'd draw her again! She loves to take long walks in the park with her boston terrier, Pooch. Took about 45 minutes to complete.

These drawings were Jin Kim inspired, as well as the dog from the aristocats and the sound track from The Fox and the Hound 2 (mostly the song Hound Dude!). Wrinkly dogs are hard but so much fun to draw!

Avenue Q Stuck - IF YOU WERE GAY

Ok so this is homestuck i know but i'm actually kind of proud of this animation i did. I did it in about a week, working non-stop, even though it's sketchy i actually finished something ;U; and the day after i finished this, and posted it, my computer pooped out. So i don't have flash anymore to do animations, which is why i'm trying to get photoshop CS3 so i can animate and draw nicer.. i honestly miss photoshop even though SAI is lovely!

Sometimes i feel really discouraged about my art, and sometimes when i see other people's artwork i get a little.. jealous. BUT i know that with practice i can get better and improve my art style too! I'm just so busy my imagination has been sucked right out of me.

Today i went on tumblr though and saw some beautiful pictures of jellyfish, and it inspired me to draw some girls in jellyfish inspired dresses. While looking at these stunning jellies i discovered this hour long swing music song and it just hit me, and i will have to draw these dresses sometime! Also this picture of an owl gave me an idea for an owl character.

My first intentions for this were to just make a blue elephant, then i suddenly colored on the wrong layer and decided to just paint everything on one layer. ELEPHANT

I made this last night after i drew this girl so many times in my sketchbook. I'm still working on colors and concepts but this is what i have so far. She's actually a fairy! I think i'll name her Wren. I'll be drawing more concepts of her later
